Physical Education Sports FacilitiesThe Sports HallThis facility is at the heart of the Kirkley sports complex and it is utilised for a whole range of activities from whole school assembles, to staff soccer to remote control motor car racing.

The Gymnasium
This gymnasium is an essential part of the Kirkley learning experience, used primarily for Basketball, Trampolining, Circuits, Dance, Health and Fitness lessons.

The Fitness SuiteThe combination of fixed weight machines, free weights and state of the art cardio-vascular equipment give this facility a reel advantage over many school fitness provisions. Supported by the funding of the Sports College Status and the dual usage provision for the public in the evening and weekends.
The CourtsA spacious outdoor concreted facility which again boasts floodlight facilities, mainly used for netball and tennis. This facility provides for dual usage for the public in the evening and weekends.

The AstroturfOriginally opened in 1996 by Olympic hockey player Jo Thompson, the facility boasts fully size hockey and soccer pitches, under modern floodlighting. This facility again provides for dual usage for the public in the evening and weekends.

The FieldsThe largest area of the Kirkley sporting arena. Athletics and cricket are the main usages in the summer months while, rugby and football dominate the winter usage. The field also has cricket nets and athletic jumping facilities. The public again can also utilise this provision during the evenings and weekends.

DanceThis was the first provision arranged to be built, as a result of funding obtained via the school acquiring Sports College Status. A fine facility that has significantly developed the schools provision for this vital part of the physical education experience at Kirkley high school. It's instalment has benefited the GCSE Dance, AS Dance and A2 Dance courses that now thrive in Kirkley.
Sports and Activities
The Waveney Gymnastics Centre (Access to only)Although not a Kirkley high school facility, access is provided to this state of the art £1.8 million pound lottery funded facility through their community program. The centre was formed by the hard work of many local people but especially former Kirkley deputy headmaster Mr John Pawsey. The school is fortunate to have such a creative and positive link with this outstanding centre, which boasts many of the finest gymnastic facilities in the country.
